Winter in Plymouth, Vermont
Plan your stay
Everything here is within about half an hour of the front door.
Skiing and riding
The inn sits between two of Vermont’s biggest mountains, so a group can split up by ability and still meet back at the bar.
Killington Resort
about 10 minutes
The biggest ski area in the East: six peaks, the longest season in Vermont and a lively base scene. Ski groups book the whole inn and carpool over.
Okemo Mountain Resort
about 10 minutes
Wide, groomed cruisers, good lessons and a family-friendly feel in Ludlow, in the other direction from Killington.
Pico Mountain
about 15 minutes
Killington’s quieter neighbor, with old-school trails and shorter lift lines on busy weekends.
Off the slopes
Winter in Plymouth is not only lift lines.
Snowmobiling

15 to 30 minutes
Groomed Nordic centers in Woodstock and at the Killington and Okemo bases, plus state-forest trails close to the inn.
Sleigh rides and skating
about 25 minutes
Horse-drawn sleigh rides and outdoor skating around Woodstock make an easy off-slope afternoon.
Nearby
Beer, history and the prettiest village in Vermont, all a short drive.
Green Union Dispensary
next door, on foot
Our next-door neighbor: a licensed, grower-owned Vermont cannabis store. The inn is a cannabis-friendly property; see the house rules.
Long Trail Brewery
about 10 minutes
Vermont’s best-known brewery, with a pub and a riverside deck, in Bridgewater Corners.
President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site
about 5 minutes
The village where Coolidge was born and sworn in as president, kept much as it was in the 1920s. The cheese factory next door is open year-round.
Woodstock
about 25 minutes
The classic Vermont village: covered bridge, shops, restaurants and the Billings Farm & Museum.
Ludlow and Killington villages
10 to 15 minutes
Restaurants, groceries, gear shops and après-ski in both resort towns.
Dinner at the inn
Groups often have one or two big dinners catered at the inn. We know local chefs who cook for a crowd in our kitchen; ask us when you inquire and we will pass along names.
